Hello and welcome to the first post on our blog!
We've decided that as the season is changing it's the perfect opportunity to launch this website and take a little bit to share about our last year. Honestly, it's hard to believe that its only been a year of Main at Hart. We have now been through every season and I think we can all agree, if there is one this we have learned from our year of business it is to enjoy the season you're in right now. Enjoy the busy, enjoy the calm, and enjoy everything in between.
To recap year one, for easy figuring lets start off in January. YES JANUARY, we sat down and ordered seeds. Less than a month later we were sitting in the basement planting the little guys! After months of watering, and talking to them we realized we were quickly outgrowing our space, a quick Facebook search and the boys headed south to purchase us a small greenhouse that was truly a lifesaver. From there, we had space to breath! Next thing we knew the snow was melting and little baby tulip buds started to grow in to gorgeous blooms, and began the start of our bouquets! In May our second batch of chickens butchered. In June, our 6th and final helper was born! May-July was a blur we are extremely thankful for the love and support and the love for the flowers! We had late nights and early mornings of flower picking and so many fun bouquets! We had bouquet bars, with attendance better than we could have asked, we were truly blessed! As summer came to an end, we got our 3rd round of chicks and they began to grow quickly! We've discovered they are fair weather animals and love the fall. Did I forget to mention between everything else in May we planted 160 HILLS of pumpkins? Oh yeah, we did that too! 5 kiddos were all hands in! As summer slipped to fall, we picked pumpkins LOTS of pumpkins and we were again blessed to have so many of you stop and shop our fall stand! The Chickens are now butchered, the flower beds mowed, the fall stand coming to an end, and we couldn't count our blessings enough. This year has taught us ALOT. We have grown, learned, adapted, changed, written it down, and changed again. The next few months around Main at Hart will be back to our growing, dreaming, planning phase and I think every one of us is excited to be able to sit back and take a minute to soak in our gratitude of year one. Many lessons have been learned in year one, but the biggest lesson to date is to appreciate the season you're in. Whether its life, or the yearly season soak it all in!
We hope you're soaking in your seasons too
